I'm Claire, wife to a loving husband, mum to two gorgeous (but cheeky) daughters and a loyal friend. I love playing netball (and would give most sports a go), wakeboarding and recently starting running (although at present I can not say I like this - but people tell me its a healthy option). Hiking and the great outdoors is something I also love and I am striving to spend as much time as possible outside.
I have always had a passion for play and understood its a language in its right mind. I truely believe all children have the right to be heard and through play it can be so powerful. I discovered Play therapy while working with children during my career at a children's hospice. The communication was incredible by the children I worked alongside but always felt there was more out there. So i started researching and exploring different aspect to the play industry. I attened a Play Therapy introduction course in 2017 and fell in love - It was powerful, made sense to me and i simply wanted more. In 2018 I signed up with Play Therapy UK (PTUK) to start my academic journey - and what a journey it was! Due to Covid, it took me 3 years to completed the full qualification but it didn't stop me, it simply made me stronger. in 2021 i finally become a fully qualified , registered play therapist.
and many more small courses based around childcare, health care, and mental health
I am fully registered and follow all professional bodies stated here.
